Stairwell woodwork

I wanted to add a chairrail to the stairway for some architectural detail that we didn't have when we moved in.  To start, I taped off the lines of where I wanted the chairrail to go, using measuring tape, pencil marks, and blue tape.

Blue tape as a guide was great, because then I didn't need to make sure I was straight each time I made a cut - I had already done that when putting the tape up!

After I was all taped up, I made the correct cuts with the saw, and used my new nail gun to nail it to the wall.  The hardest part was getting the right angles during the cuts for the non-90 or 45 degree angles.

I am happy with the way it turned out.
