Lighter Lasagna Soup

I found this recipe, and wanted to modify it for the crock pot.  So, I did!  I was able to use frozen turkey sausage, and it just took a little longer in the crock pot.  You can use refrigerated turkey sausage as well. 

Ingredients:
1 box chicken broth
1 diced medium onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1 pound ground turkey sausage
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
4 oz penne pasta
Mozzarella and parmesan for garnish
salt, pepper, and basil to taste

Add everything except the pasta to your crock pot, cook on high 4 hours.  Once sausage is cooked through, crumble it up in the pot using forks.  Add the pasta and cook on low until tender.

All finished.  This was a good, easy crockpot recipe that also tastes delicious.
